About Paperwords

Paperwords is the personal website of James McGoram, a designer, writer and reviewer living in New Zealand. I run the web development agency Messiah when I'm not writing.

I publish stories, criticism, poetry and reviews that I like; sometimes my own, sometimes by friends, and sometimes by worthy contributors. I've run online magazines before, and they can get...complicated. So I started Paperwords to allow me to get back to what I really enjoy - the words themselves.

Because I'm a technology fan I've also included PDF and EPub formats for most articles, for use in everything from electronic book readers to mobile phones, as well as printer-friendly style-sheets for those die-hard fans of real paper. Print something out - you won't regret it.

Submissions

I do accept submissions. Email them to submissions@paperwords.co.nz as an attached file. I prefer .odt files or pdfs. I accept simultaneous submissions and, of course, authors retain the copyright to their work. Just don't expect payment.

There is no promise I'll get back to you.

This site might not work well for anyone using a smaller screen, or Internet Explorer software. I suggest you buy a larger screen, and start using Firefox. Please remember that, as a general rule, I don't want to know about your problems.
